The C47 wooden clamp is probably the lightest and most affordable clamp you will ever find on set.
The main function of the clamp is to attach gel filters to the lights. Wood is a good insulator and does not conduct heat very well, so they are perfect for this application, while metal would easily transfer heat and melt plastic. Also ideal for drying films and prints in the darkroom.
