The compact Atom A5 monitor from Vaxis enables wireless sending, receiving, monitoring and recording of high-quality video transmissions.
The Atom A5 features a 5.5-inch touchscreen with a sharp resolution of 1920 x 1080, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a PPI of 401 and a brightness of 1000 cd/m². The built-in wireless transmitters and receivers enable the sending and receiving of videos between the Atom wireless transmitters and receivers at a distance of up to 150 meters. The sharpness of the monitor makes it the ideal companion for wireless follow focus.
The monitor supports video inputs up to 1080p60 via its HDMI input and has an HDMI loop output to send video to an external screen. The program can also be recorded as an MP4 proxy via the integrated microSD/TF card slot. The integrated CINE OS software provides various image editing tools such as scopes, peaking and the storage of up to 50 3D LUTs on the monitor.
The Atom A5 features an HDMI input and HDMI loop output, as well as a 3.5mm headphone output. Record MP4 video files to a microSD/TF card via the integrated media slot, and the Atom A5 allows instant playback of the footage. Compatible with the Atom ecosystem, including Atom 500 HDMI or SDI, Atom 600 KV TX and Atom A5H.
The Atom A5 can synchronize the timecode with the camera, so that recording on the monitor can start at the same time as the camera starts recording. The updated CINE OS software offers various image editing tools such as peaking and scopes and supports up to 50 3D LUTs that can be saved on the monitor. The two antennas are interchangeable and can be replaced with optional antennas with a longer range. There are two integrated NP-F970 battery plates on the back.
