The Canon R8 Lightweight Kit allows you to get the most out of your R8. It also offers protection for the camera body and includes relevant accessories to enhance the functionality of the Canon R8 in a video production environment.
This full cage offers many options for mounting various accessories, such as 1/4″-20 threads with various attachment points, two cold shoe connectors, a NATO rail for side handles and attachment points for a single rod holder.
There is an ARCA quick release plate on the bottom of the cage, perfect for quickly switching between a tripod and DJI Ronin series gimbals. Please note that this cage uses the DJI standard for ARCA. Compatibility with other standards is not guaranteed.
The included cable clamp can be quickly attached to the cage with the screw and at the same time offers the necessary security to keep the cables in place.
This cage features a most convenient battery compartment design as it includes a reserved space for a dummy battery cable to better support users who rely on external power.
The included NATO Top Handle and NATO Rail Mount provide flexible shooting and handling options that are especially useful for low angle shooting. The Top Handle features several additional mounting options such as 1/4″-20 threads and a Cold Shoe connector, which is a great option for a microphone or external monitor.
