HE DLED7N-BI LIGHT HEAD
The DLED7N-BI dual-color light head is a perfect balance of output and control. This light draws a constant 80W of power from the DTneo ballast and alternates it between two 80W diode sets in the array. This means that no matter which diodes (tungsten/daylight) are on at any given time, the light will always deliver what you paid for: not 40W for one color and 40W for the other, but 80W for both. You may have worked with open LED lights that require additional reflectors to get a certain fixed beam angle. This is not the case with Dedolight's LED focusing lights. The light has a manual focusing range of 60° to 6° (1:10 light ratio) without any additional accessories, just like a camera zoom. This alone puts them in a class of their own. Those who know the DLED7 series well will know that the new dedolight NEO DLED7N has the same light quality and performance as its predecessor. The main difference from the dedolight Neo is the rear housing, which has been modified to further reduce light leakage. The head cable connection has been moved to the bottom of the housing. This redesign makes the already compact head an incredible 30% shorter in operation. The DLED7N head fits the same accessories (size M) as the Classic 100/150W dedolight DLH4, DLHM4-300 and DLH200 200W HMI.
THE DTNEO BALLAST
This is where the dedolight NEO series really sets itself apart from its predecessors. Gone are the days of having to choose between an AC, DC or AC-DMX ballast with the previous DLED series. The DTneo and DTneo (wireless option) combine all the features you would hope for in a single ballast and more. DMX is standard on all DTNeo ballasts. As for power, the DTneo has a V-mount socket with an optional AC/DC adapter hidden in a mini V-mount battery case. The simple turn/push knob and menu on the OLED screen let you choose between a deep, smooth "linear" or "exponential" dimming curve. Color changing is seamless even at the lowest power settings (0.1 to 100% dimming range). Even dimming to below 10%, which is normally a challenge in the world of LEDs, is seamlessly possible. Benefit from linear 1000 point 8-bit or advanced 16-bit control (via DMX/RDM protocol). The high speed setting allows flicker-free shooting at up to 50,000 frames per second. The DTneo ballasts have an auto-detect function that will detect and control all upcoming DLEDNeo light heads between 20w-80w. That's not a typo. If you want to invest in the future, the upcoming DLED3Neo unit, the DLED7Neo infrared, ultra-violet and even the future generations of the DLED7Neo, the DTneo controls them all, all the way up to the Neo DLED9. To put it simply, the DTNeo ballast opens the world to a whole new generation of light heads, and the DLED7N-BI leads the party.
