The DC-LINK-LR2 MKII is the successor to the LR2 with a range of up to 700 meters in direct line of sight and a new all-black design. Of course, the LR2 MKII is also downwards compatible and can be combined and expanded with the entire DFS-free DC-LINK WHDI portfolio. To find the optimal channel, the LR2 MKII has a frequency scanner and an antenna function monitor, the DC-SCAN, which can be output via the HDMI port on the receiver. The wireless transmission of video signals and the frequency monitor can be used alternately.
The special stability of all DC-LINK video radio systems is achieved by deliberately dispensing with DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection). However, this means that the video radio can only be used on the channels provided for it indoors.
The fans on the transmitter and receiver can be regulated as desired, or switched off completely. The OSD (on-screen display) can also be switched on and off. An OLED display on the transmitter and receiver provides information about the selected channel, the temperature and the battery charge level. Five large LEDs on the receiver show the reception quality even in bright environments.
The LR2 MKII video radio supports time code as well as the transmission of start and stop signals and is one of the fastest of its kind when switching between camera image and recording.
Multi Brand Connectivity: All receivers in the MKII series have different frequency sets to receive video signals from other manufacturers with non-DFS WHDI. This means that all new DC Link receivers can be added to an existing WHDI system from another manufacturer.
With the MKII series of DFS-free video radio systems, Dwarf Connection has found a solution for sensitive content: By implementing an encryption mode that can be easily activated, connections with an infinite number of receivers are still possible.
Operating the entire radio system, now known as “Master Channel Selection”, is even easier than before. All receivers react to channel changes from the transmitter and follow automatically.
The much more stable “Flexible Sword” antennas are now included as standard.
