SL4 basic battery (2 batteries)
The batteries have a USB Type-C port on board that delivers up to 60 watts to power devices such as a phone or laptop.
These smart batteries feature a display that shows a range of data, from voltage to power output to charge cycle life and much more.*
SL batteries use lithium-ion cells for more reliable performance and safer handling than LiPo battery cells.
These batteries aren't just for the Mōvi Pro and Mōvi Carbon! We've released CAD and provided an API so anyone can integrate these into their electronics.
Mōvi Pro to SL Adapter (1 Pair)
These adapters mount to the original Mōvi Pro battery plates without tools and feature a pair of 4-pin Molex connectors to provide the raw voltage of the batteries for your accessories.
SL battery charger
The charger uses USB PD for both the input for charging and the output for charging your laptop for additional functionality at work.
The charging time for one battery is about one hour with a 100W USB-C power adapter***.
Running time on the Mōvi Pro
In our testing, a single set of SL4 Ground batteries powered the Mōvi Pro for the following times:
2.25 hours - RED Helium Epic, 6k 13:1, 2 focus motors, wireless video, with continuous handheld use
2.25 hours - RED Helium Epic, 8k 6:1, 2 focus motors, wireless video, with continuous handheld use
2 hours - RED Helium Epic, 6k 13:1, 2 focus motors, wireless video, system test mode (non-stop movement on all three axes, controlled by test software on a test bench)
5.75 hrs - Sony Alpha 7R IV 4k, 1 focus motor, wireless video, system test mode (non-stop movement on all three axes, controlled by test software on a test bench)
*The state of charge (SOC) indicator on the battery is always the most accurate, but there is a firmware update for Mōvi Pro & Carbon (via the Mōvi Pro app) that allows you to select your battery type to increase the accuracy of the state of charge indicator on the back of the Mōvi. Learn more about that here.
**Please make sure the devices you are powering through these ports can handle the 6s voltage (18v-25.2v) or use a regulator to step down to the desired voltage. If the batteries are powering these ports directly, you will lose power to connected accessories if you do a battery hot swap.
