The 40""" Grip Arm with large handle consists of a 2-1/2""" Grip Head mounted on the end of the 40"""" steel tube with a diameter of 5/8""" (16 mm).
The 2-1/2" Grip Head consists of a pair of rotating aluminum disks mounted on a 5/8" (16 mm) arbor. The disks have four different sized V-shaped jaws that can accommodate any accessory with a 5/8", 1/2", 3/8" or 1/4" mounting bolt or tube. The V-shaped jaws have teeth that securely grip whatever is mounted between the plates.
The 2-1/2" Grip Head features an oversized, ergonomic T-handle and special roller bearings designed for maximum torque. It uses a non-slip aluminum friction disc that maintains durability over time and provides the user with secure locking strength and precise control. The construction features a solid steel bolt attached to the aluminum casting with a solid bolt for increased strength and durability.
The 40" Grip Arm is almost always used in conjunction with a 2-1/2" Grip Head, giving you complete flexibility in positioning gobos such as flags, scrims and silks as well as other accessories in virtually any location. The arm is finished with a black powder coating.
