The Mini Matte Box from Tilta is a lightweight and cost-effective solution for filmmakers who use DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Weighing only 140g, this matte box is perfect for this area.
By using a matte box, stray light in the lens is avoided, you get additional protection for the lens and with the included French flag, unwanted light reflections can also be minimized.
Additional 1/4" and 3/8" connections on the top of the matte box offer the option of attaching accessories such as small LED lights or microphones. The kit also includes a 15mm rod for attaching the mini matte box to a rig, which can be used to provide additional protection for the lens if necessary. The mini matte box allows two different types of filters to be attached; 4 × 5.65 standard filters can be inserted into the front. In addition, screw-on filters can be attached via the internal thread using the adapter rings provided. The adapter ring is first attached to the lens and then the mini matte box is attached to the adapter ring.
