The enhanced Lightweight Kit for the Sony FX3/FX30 allows you to get the most out of your FX3/FX30. It also offers protection for the camera body and includes relevant accessories to enhance the functionality of the Sony FX3/FX30 in a video production environment.
This full cage offers many options for mounting various accessories, such as 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads with different attachment points, two cold shoe connectors, a NATO rail for top handles and attachment points for a single rod holder.
This evolved design is incredibly modular, allowing different sides of the cage to be removed or added to accommodate different shooting scenarios. This is particularly useful in situations where weight is a concern, such as when using a gimbal or when using accessories such as the XLR Top Handle, which this cage is fully compatible with.
Regarding gimbals: The bottom plate is equipped with an ARCA quick release plate, which allows for quick switching between tripod and DJI gimbals. Please note that this cage uses the DJI standard for ARCA. Compatibility with other standards is not guaranteed.
The improved cable clamp can be easily integrated into the complete cage and offers increased security for cables, which can be easily secured with the screw.
The cage features three individual mounting screws, which greatly improves the connection between the camera body and the cage. This ensures that accessories mounted over the cage, such as wireless follow focus motors, limit the twisting of the camera front within the cage itself.
The Advanced Power Handle, also included in the scope of delivery, connects to the cage via the NATO rail and supplies the accessories with power and supports run-stop control via the included cable. The adjustable rotation and the additional hand strap offer exceptional comfort and flexibility when operating the Sony FX3/FX30.
